The National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) created by Law No. 2007-007 of January 22, 2007 replaced by Law No. 2016-011 of June 7, 2016 relating to the Civil Aviation Code, is the authority responsible for the execution of the Togolese State policy in matters of civil aviation and the coordination and supervision of all civil aeronautical activities in accordance with national requirements and international standards and recommendations.

ANAC adheres to ICAO's environmental protection initiatives and universal safety and security oversight programs. As such, Togo's national safety and security oversight systems are regularly audited by ICAO. In addition, Togo is subject to security audits by UEMOA and the TSA. To continually improve its performance, ANAC has established, certified, and maintains its quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001:2015.
Gnassingbé Eyadema International Airport (AIGE), which currently has an annual capacity of around 2 million passengers, plans to double its performance in the coming years, in line with government ambitions.
